CGRP‐Loaded ROS‐Responsive Hydrogel Restores Neuro‐Angiogenic Signaling to Promote Bone Regeneration in Diabetes‐Associated Periodontitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that diabetes damages sensory nerve fibers, especially CGRP‐positive ones, in the periodontium and disrupts autophagy in trigeminal ganglion neurons, affecting bone homeostasis by inhibiting type H vessel formation. To address this, CGRP@PVA/tsPBA hydrogels are developed to release CGRP in response to ROS, which binds to endothelial ...

Fluorosis and periodontium: A report of our institutional studies

open access: yesJournal of International Clinical Dental Research Organization, 2014
Fluorosis is a world-wide prevalent endemic disease due to high-fluoride water intake, especially in the developing countries. Among the various environmental etiological factors, the influence of high-fluoride water intake on the periodontium is still ...

Benchmarking matching color in composite restorations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The purpose of this study was to investigate the color samples (A2, A3 and B1) of three different brands of resin composites using dentine masses. 135 discs were prepared (5 plates for each thickness, color and brand of composite material).

Engineering Dimensional Configuration of Single‐Atom S‐Cu‐S Sites as Reversible Electron Station for Enhanced Peroxidase‐Mimicking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
L‐cysteine triggers auto‐assembly of POD‐like 3D biomimetic S‐Cu‐S single‐atom nanozymes on MoS2 (MoCC). MoCC shows 16.3‐fold higher catalytic velocity and 17.9‐fold greater affinity than HRP, enabling efficient •OH generation via enhanced electron inversion and transfer.

The effect of anti-oxidant agents as neutralizers of bleaching agents on dentin bond strength

open access: yesJournal of Baghdad College of Dentistry, 2014
Background: Reduction in bond strength when bonding was done immediately after intracoronal bleaching procedure has been recognized. The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of antioxidants (10% sodium ascorbate (SA), 0.1M thiourea and7% sodium ...

Surface characterization and biological properties of regular dentin, demineralized dentin, and deproteinized dentin

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science: Materials in Medicine, 2016
Bone autografts are often used for reconstruction of bone defects; however, due to the limitations of autografts, researchers have been in search of bone substitutes. Dentin is of particular interest for this purpose due to high similarity to bone. This in vitro study sought to assess the surface characteristics and biological properties of dentin ...

Smart Denture with Embedded Thin‐Film Temperature Sensors Patterned by Femtosecond Laser Pulse for Elderly Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
We demonstrate the direct‐laser patterning of a gold thin film on polymethyl methacrylate to fabricate a temperature sensor for dentures. The temperature sensor‐embedded smart dentures are evaluated in an oral environment, enabling in‐situ monitoring for elderly healthcare.
