Dengue virus surveillance: the co-circulation of DENV-1, DENV-2 and DENV-3 in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 2004
This study presents the results obtained in the monitoring of dengue virus (DENV) transmission in the Greater Metropolitan Region of the State of Rio de Janeiro, in the period 2000-2001. A total of 5324 serum samples from suspected cases of dengue were analysed in order to confirm dengue infection.

Genetic diversity and spatiotemporal dynamics of DENV-1 and DENV-2 infections during the 2012–2013 outbreak in Mexico

Virology, 2022
Dengue fever is caused by four related dengue virus serotypes, DENV-1 to DENV-4, where each serotype comprises distinct genotypes and lineages. The last major outbreak in Mexico occurred during 2012 and 2013, when 112,698 confirmed cases were reported (DENV-1 and DENV-2 were predominant).

Progress and prospects on DENV protease inhibitors

European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2016
New treatments are desperately required to combat increasing rate of dengue fever cases reported in tropical and sub-tropical parts of the world. Among the ten proteins (structural and non-structural) encoded by dengue viral genome, NS2B-NS3 protease is an ideal target for drug discovery.

Comparison of Inflammatory Cytokine Responses in DENV-1 Monoinfection Versus Coinfection with DENV-4

Vector-Borne and Zoonotic Diseases
Purpose: Dengue is a systemic vector-borne viral disease caused by infection of any one (monoinfection) or more than one serotype (coinfection) of the Dengue virus (DENV). Till date, there have been few studies, which have focused on assessing the cytokine and hematological parameters during DENV mono and ...

Representation and problem solving with Distribution Envelope Determination (DEnv)

Reliability Engineering & System Safety, 2004
Distribution Envelope Determination (DEnv) is a method for computing the CDFs of random variables whose samples are a function of samples of other random variable(s), termed inputs. DEnv computes envelopes around these CDFs when there is uncertainty about the precise form of the probability distribution describing any input.
