Influence of Al on Evolution of the Inclusions in Ti-Bearing Steel with Ca Treatment

open access: yesMetals, 2019
Experimental simulations of steelmaking with different amounts of aluminum were achieved in the tube furnace at 1873 K and field scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (FE-SEM and EDX) were employed to explore the ...

Spinless impurities in high Tc cuprates: Kondo-like behavior

open access: yes, 1999
We compare the effects of in-plane non magnetic Li$^{+}$ and Zn$^{2+}$ impurities on the normal state of high-T$_{c}$ cuprates. Y NMR shows that the extra hole introduced by Li is not localized in its vicinity.

Refinement mechanisms of inclusions in steel by Ti-Mg complex deoxidation

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2015
To understand the refinement mechanisms of inclusions in steel, the morphology, size, composition and number of inclusions in low C-Mn steel were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. The predominance area diagram

Deoxidation of Titanium Aluminides.

open access: yesDENKI-SEIKO[ELECTRIC FURNACE STEEL], 1993
The deoxidation of TiAl is one of the key technologies to recycle the scrap contaminated through the casting processes. Fairy high amount of aluminum, more than 30%, enables the few deoxidation methods such as evaporation of aluminum oxide or Ca addition, while they are inapplicable to conventional Ti-alloys containing lower aluminum. The TiAl with 0.21%

Effect of Ti-Mg complex deoxidation on the microstructure and impact properties of HAZ in steel

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2015
The effects of micro Ti and Ti-Mg on the microstructure and impact properties of welding heat affected zones(HAZ)in 16 Mn steel were studied by welding thermal simulation on a Gleeble-1500 hot simulator.

Mathematical Model of the LD Steel Deoxidation Kinetics with Manganese and Aluminum

open access: yesThe Annals of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati. Fascicle IX, Metallurgy and Materials Science, 2008
The paper presents the mathematical model of the kinetics of the electric arc furnace steel deoxidation with Mn and Al. Based on the solving of the kinetics model differential equations, the variation of the deoxidants solubility during the deoxidation ...
