Modelling Time Dependency

2013
This chapter describes the theories of sub-critical crack growth and numerical procedures implemented in FRACOD. Classical fracture mechanics postulates that a fracture tip with a stress intensity equal to the material’s critical fracture toughness will accelerate to speeds approaching the elastic wave speed in a medium.

Time-dependent Models

2014
As shown in Chapters 3 and 4, the nonlinearity in dynamics is caused by changes in the direction of external forces due to large movements and to the nonlinearity of internal forces, caused by non-time-dependent phenomena studied in Chapter 5 and time-dependent phenomena that will be presented in this chapter.

Dynamic dependability models

Proceedings of the First Workshop on DYnamic Aspects in DEpendability Models for Fault-Tolerant Systems, 2010
The increasing importance of safety-critical and fault-tolerant systems demands an accurate dependability modeling and analysis of these systems. Dependability analysis plays a key role in assessing the effectiveness of redundancy mechanisms and determining optimal system designs.
