Anti-bunched photons from a lateral light-emitting diode

open access: yes, 2011
We demonstrate anti-bunched emission from a lateral-light emitting diode. Sub-Poissonian emission statistic, with a g$^{(2)}$(0)=0.7, is achieved at cryogenic temperature in the pulsed low-current regime, by exploiting electron injection through shallow ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

A Dense Molecular Ringlike Structure in Gaseous CO Depletion Region G34.74−0.12

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We report the discovery of a dense molecular ringlike structure in a dense (10 ^5 cm ^−3 ), cold (parsec-scale CO depletion at a factor of 5), and young (10 ^4 yr) star-forming region G34.74−0.12, revealed by C ^18 O (2−1), HNC (1−0), and N _2 H ^+ (1−0)

Post-Sunrise Ionospheric Irregularities in Southeast Asia During the Geomagnetic Storm on 19–20 April 2024

open access: yesRemote Sensing
We present new insights into post-sunrise ionospheric irregularities in Southeast Asia during the intense geomagnetic storm of 19–20 April 2024. By utilizing Total Electron Content (TEC) and Rate of TEC Change Index (ROTI) maps, along with ionosondes, we

Effect of Disorder in BCS-BEC Crossover

open access: yes, 2012
In this article we have investigated the effect of weak random disorder in the BCS-BEC crossover region. The disorder is included in the mean field formalism through NSR theory of superconducting fluctuations.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Evaluation of in vitro toxicity of common phytochemicals included in weight loss supplements using 1H NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Molecular gas freeze-out in the pre-stellar core L1689B

open access: yes, 2002
C17O (J=2-1) observations have been carried out towards the pre-stellar core L1689B. By comparing the relative strengths of the hyperfine components of this line, the emission is shown to be optically thin.

Stable stimulated emission depletion imaging of extended sample regions

open access: yesJournal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2019
Abstract Stimulated emission depletion (STED) nanoscopy has become one of the most used nanoscopy techniques over the last decade. However, most recordings are done in specimen regions no larger than 10–30  ×  10–30 μ m 2 due to ...
