A previously unrecognized IRE1‐XBP1s‐Slc6a4 signaling axis links endoplasmic reticulum stress to serotonin metabolism, autophagy, and inflammatory osteoclastogenesis. By promoting intracellular serotonin uptake and reducing endogenous 3‐methyladenine accumulation, this pathway accelerates inflammatory bone destruction and provides a promising ...

Ketamine for treatment resistant depression in individuals with eating disorders: a comparison study
Individuals with eating disorders (EDs) have an increased risk of treatment resistant depression (TRD) and treatment resistant bipolar disorder (TRBD) and a higher rate of suicidal ideation and death by suicide than individuals without EDs. Individuals with EDs are less responsive to conventional treatments for mood disorders than individuals without ...

Frontal lobe traumatic brain injury is associated with hyperactivity of an insular–orbitofrontal circuit in both patients and mice. By combination of integrating functional imaging, cell‐type–specific circuit manipulation, single‐cell transcriptomics, and whole‐cell recordings, this work identifies the downregulation of the potassium channel KCNC3 in ...

This work demonstrates a design paradigm of phonon‐driven negative‐thermal‐expansion (NTE) flexible framework that exploits the intrinsic lattice flexibility of NTE frameworks to simultaneously suppress thermal expansion and activate oxide‐ion conduction, offering a promising strategy to mitigate TEC mismatch in solid‐state ionic devices.

Is the antidepressant efficacy of ketamine and esketamine mediated via opioid mechanisms?
Background Ketamine and esketamine produce rapid and sustained antidepressant effects in persons with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Although it is posited that these effects are largely attributed to N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonism, the ...

Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy for Treatment-Resistant Depression in Bipolar II Disorder
Background: Bipolar II disorder (BD-II) is often associated with chronic and treatment resistant major depressive episodes. Psilocybin has shown promise for its rapid-acting antidepressant effects, though its impact on bipolar depression remains unexplored.

Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.

A lead‐free perovskite memristive solar cell structure that call emulate both synaptic and neuronal functions controlled by light and electric fields depending on top electrode type. ABSTRACT Memristive devices based on halide perovskites hold strong promise to provide energy‐efficient systems for the Internet of Things (IoT); however, lead (Pb ...
