Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

A numerical simulation method for CO2 leakage considering non-equilibrium phase transition

open access: yesJournal of Pipeline Science and Engineering
Carbon dioxide (CO2) exhibits high compressibility and complex phase-transition behavior. In the event of a leakage, CO2 undergoes rapid expansion and intricate phase transitions, resulting in a composite pressure drop process that includes a pressure ...

Study of the Appropriate Well Types and Parameters for the Safe and Efficient Production of Marine Gas Hydrates in Unconsolidated Reservoirs

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The majority of marine hydrates are buried in unconsolidated or poorly consolidated marine sediments with limited cementation and strength. As a result, hydrate decomposition during production may cause significant subsidence of the formation ...

Evaporation of a bicomponent droplet during depressurization [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2016
Abstract This paper reports an experimental and numerical study of evaporation process of a two-volatile bicomponent (ethanol/water and acetic acid/water) droplet during depressurization. The environmental pressure, the ambient temperature, and the droplet temperature are investigated during the experiments.

Miniaturized Magnetic Tip Design for Endoluminal Vine Robot Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A magnetic tip mount is designed for a miniaturized 7 mm soft‐growing vine robot to enable wireless magnetic steering and onboard imaging, while preserving a 3 mm working channel. The internal–external ring magnets design balances magnetic attachment with low eversion pressure. Experiments demonstrate ±90° steering, 34 mm bending radius, and successful

Supercritical CO2‐Induced Porous MXene Films for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Infrared Stealth

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The phase transition of supercritical CO2 induces the foaming of dense MXene film without compromise inherent structure of MXene nanosheet. The foamed porous MXene film manifests remarkable EMI shielding and infrared thermal camouflage performances. Moreover, the foaming strategy is broadly adaptable and can be extended to other two‐dimensional films ...
