Depth Perception Using Various Vision Transformer [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Proper depth perception is one of the key requirements of three-dimensional understanding of scenes in the context of self-driving. The discussed manuscript defines a re-architecturing of VoxelNet with a dual attention paradigm (inspired by Vision ...

FeDSNP‐Pa Nanoassemblies: A Triple‐Action Therapeutic Strategy Targeting Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Pyroptosis for Retinal Ganglion Cell Protection in Glaucoma

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
FeDSNP‐Pa, a metallized nanoparticle loaded with sodium pyruvate (Pa), exerts triple therapeutic effects by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), suppressing inflammatory responses, and inhibiting pyroptosis signaling pathways. This multifunctional neuroprotective strategy protecting retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) from elevated intraocular pressure ...

'A woman like any other' : female sodomy, hermaphroditism and witchcraft in seventeenth-century Bruges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This article discusses the official and popular responses to a particular sodomy trial held at Bruges in 1618 during which two women, Mayken and Magdaleene, were accused of several sexual and moral transgressions. The interrogation records of the accused

Mir-132/212 is required for maturation of binocular matching of orientation preference and depth perception

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are known to mediate post-transcriptional gene regulation, but their role in postnatal brain development is still poorly explored. We show that the expression of many miRNAs is dramatically regulated during functional maturation of the

Enhanced Switching Performance in Single‐Crystalline PbTiO3 Ferroelectric Memristors for Replicating Synaptic Plasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrated single‐crystalline PbTiO3‐based memristors with atomically sharp interfaces, well‐ordered lattices, and minimal lattice mismatch. The devices exhibited an ON/OFF ratio exceeding 105, high stability, and rich resistance‐state modulation.

Susceptibility to geometrical visual illusions in Parkinson’s disorder

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
Parkinson’s disorder (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder affecting approximately 1–3% of the population aged 60 years and older. In addition to motor difficulties, PD is also marked by visual disturbances, including depth perception ...

The effect of pictorial depth information on projected size judgements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
When full depth cues are available, size judgements are dominated by physical size. However, with reduced depth cues, size judgements are less influenced by physical size and more influenced by projected size.
