Asynchronous 3D Photography Is a Reliable Tool for the Assessment of Mycosis Fungoides Clinical Severity

open access: yesAustralasian Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Mycosis fungoides (MF) requires accurate clinical assessment for staging and management. Teledermatology aids remote evaluations, but there is limited data on the use of 3D total body photography (TBP) in assessing MF. Objective This study evaluates the accuracy and reliability of assessing a patient with MF using 3D TBP compared to

Omalizumab reduces anaphylactic reactions and allows food introduction in food‐allergic in children with severe asthma: An observational study

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 80, Issue 4, Page 1074-1085, April 2025.
In Europe, Omalizumab is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe asthma, but not for IgE‐mediated food allergy. We assessed the impact of Omalizumab on efficacy, safety, and the quality of life (FA‐QoL) in patients with moderate to severe asthma and who have a history of anaphylaxis to peanut, tree nuts, fish, egg, milk, and/or wheat.

Tralokinumab Treatment in Adult Atopic Dermatitis Patients: 28‐Week Evaluation of Clinical Effectiveness, Safety, Serum Proteins and Total IgE Levels

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 80, Issue 4, Page 1060-1073, April 2025.
This study evaluated 28‐week safety and effectiveness of tralokinumab treatment in patients with atopic dermatitis. All primary outcomes significantly improved during 28 weeks of tralokinumab treatment and the probability of achieving EASI ≤ 7 and NRS‐pruritis ≤ 4 was 75.8% (56.9–88.2) and 51.4% (28.0–74.2), respectively.

Transcriptomic Profiles of the Nasal Mucosa Following Birch Pollen Provocation Differ Between Birch Pollen‐Allergic and Non‐Allergic Individuals

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Fourteen genes, mainly encoding keratins, were commonly differentially expressed in both allergic and non‐allergic individuals after nasal provocation with birch pollen. The nasal provocation in birch pollen‐allergic individuals led to activation of innate immune pathways within 15–30 min and proliferation‐regulatory pathways within 60–120 min.
