ALLERGIC CONTACT DERMATITIS

open access: yese-Jurnal Medika Udayana, 2013
Allergic contact dermatitis is an immunologic reaction that tends to involve the surrounding skin and may even spread beyond affected sites. This skin disease is one of the more frequent, and costly dermatologic problems.

European Consensus on Malabsorption—UEG & SIGE, LGA, SPG, SRGH, CGS, ESPCG, EAGEN, ESPEN, and ESPGHAN

open access: yesUnited European Gastroenterology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Malabsorption is a complex and multifaceted condition characterised by the defective passage of nutrients into the blood and lymphatic streams. Several congenital or acquired disorders may cause either selective or global malabsorption in both children and adults, such as cystic fibrosis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), coeliac ...

An improved point-to-surface contact algorithm with penalty method for peridynamics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
It is significantly challenging to obtain accurate contact forces in peridynamics (PD) simulations due to the difficulty of surface particles identification, particularly for complex geometries. Here, an improved point-to-surface contact model is proposed for PD with high accuracy.

Matching Evaluation between Occupational Contact Dermatitis and Various Jobs in Yazd in During 2007-2012

open access: yesActa Medica Iranica, 2013
Skin disorders comprise more than 35% of all occupationally related diseases. 90-95% of work-related dermatoses are contact dermatitis. Effects of occupational dermatitis in the lives of workers are substantial.

Targeting ATF6α Attenuates UVB‐Induced Senescence and Improves Skin Homeostasis by Regulating IL8 Expression

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
UVB exposure can trigger senescence in dermal fibroblasts. We show that silencing ATF6α disrupts the establishment of the UVB‐induced senescent phenotype by preventing the onset of several senescent biomarkers and altering the composition of the SASP, consequently affecting its impact on the skin microenvironment.
