Exhaled Volatile Organic Compounds Identify Allergic Patients Among Individuals With Chronic Rhinitis

Exhaled decane and nonadecane discriminate allergic (AR + LAR) from non‐allergic (NAR + HC) subjects among individuals with chronic rhinitis. LAR patients display higher levels of exhaled nonadecane than NAR individuals at baseline. IgE Sensitization Patterns of Mothers and Their Offspring in the First Five Years of Life The CHILD Study

The spectrum of allergic sensitization in mothers and their offspring was characterized at ages 1–5 years at an extract‐ and molecular level in a North American birth cohort. Fel d 1 was the primary sensitizer in mothers, followed by Phl p 1. Perennial allergen sensitization (Der f 1, Der p 1) was rare at age one but rose sharply by age five.
