Subcutaneous infection with Dermatophilus congolensis in a cat

Abstract Dermatophilus congolensis was isolated from a chronic inflammatory lesion in a lymph node from a cat. The organism was successfully transmitted to the skin of sheep and laboratory animals where it produced an exudative dermatitis and when injected subcutaneously into a cat an abscess developed.
