Therapeutic Outcomes in VEXAS Syndrome: A Multicenter Comparative Cohort of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Hypomethylating Agents

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypomethylating agents (HMA) and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT) have both demonstrated remissions in VEXAS; however, comparative data is lacking. We conducted a multicenter, retrospective analysis of 66 patients diagnosed with VEXAS syndrome treated with HMA (n = 35) or alloHSCT (n = 31). Baseline characteristics

GS‐9620 alleviates psoriasis‐like inflammation by regulating autophagy in keratinocytes

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Psoriasis is an immune‐mediated inflammatory disease of the skin characterized by excessive proliferation and abnormal differentiation of keratinocytes. GS‐9620 can increase the expression of ATG5, ATG7 and ATG16L1, thereby regulating the autophagy of keratinocytes and inhibiting the secretion of related inflammatory factors.

Role of LIGHT in the Inflammatory Mechanisms of Psoriasis via Upregulation of Proliferation and Cytokine Production of Keratinocytes

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease
Background The pathogenesis of psoriasis is associated with abnormalities in immune pathways. HVEM is known as a receptor of LIGHT (homologous to lymphotoxins, inducible, and competes with HSV glycoprotein D), which is a newly identified member of the ...

Borrelia and Genital Lichen Sclerosus: A Critical Review of the Evidence

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Lichen sclerosus (LSc) is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis that primarily affects the genitalia. Growing evidence supports chronic occlusive urine exposure as the principal pathogenic driver, though other mechanisms, including mechanical irritation, hormonal influences, autoimmunity, and infection, have been proposed.

A Refractory Leg Skin Ulcer Associated With Multiple Myeloma Successfully Treated With Plasma Exchange, Lenalidomide, and Dexamethasone

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignant plasma cell disorder that primarily presents with CRAB symptoms (calcium elevation, renal failure, anemia, and bone abnormalities). In rare cases, MM manifests with systemic complications like skin ulcers, which present management challenges. Here, we report a 78‐year‐old Japanese man with MM and refractory
