Augmenting Soft Tissues with Fat, Dermis and Dermal Fat Grafts
2020Techniques for augmentation of the soft tissues are widely recognised and useful, especially for small volume augmentation. But they can be expensive and may require expensive equipment (such as a centrifuge). They are also very technique dependent.

Fate of Primary Orbital Dermis-Fat Grafts in Guinea Pigs
Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 1988A year-long study was undertaken to serially evaluate the tissue changes occurring in dermis-fat graft (DFG) after orbital implantation in nine guinea pigs. Methods used to evaluate the DFGs were histology, magnetic resonance imaging, morphometric analysis, and clinical observations.

String Fat/Dermis Graft for Correction of Wrinkles and Scars
Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 2019Summary: Established creases and wrinkles do not predictably respond to the fat injection technique. The authors describe a minimally invasive yet simple technique to address recalcitrant facial rhytides and minor depressed scars.

Evaluation of Discectomy and Dermis–Fat Grafting on the Contralateral Side
Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2012We investigated the effects of unilateral discectomy with an abdominal dermis-fat graft of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) on the contralateral side.A total of 14 patients who underwent unilateral TMJ discectomy and dermis-fat grafting for severe internal derangement in 2009 and 2010 were included.

Pyogenic Granuloma on a Dermis Fat Graft in Acquired Anophthalmic Orbits
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1987We treated exposure of the orbital implant with a dermis fat graft in two patients with an acquired anophthalmic orbit. During the first six postoperative months, a large polypoid tumor of the conjunctiva developed over the grafted tissue in each patient. Histologic examination of both lesions disclosed a pyogenic granuloma.

Dermis fat graft in oculoplastic surgery: case report
2021Aim: Demonstration of the usage of a dermis-fat graft for conjunctiva and orbital volume replacement secondary to massive conjunctival dehiscence overlying the silicone orbital implant. Patients and methods: A 32-year-old patient came seeking a second opinion on massive conjunctival dehiscence above a silicone orbital implant and recurrent orbital ...

[Dermis-fat graft. Possibilities and limitations].
Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2004Various alloplastic orbital implants, preferably with a spherical configuration, are employed for the routine care of an enucleated socket. Alternately, an autologous dermis-fat graft can also be used. It represents a safe alternative to alloplastic orbital implants.
