Metabolome analysis identified exogenous cholesterol within lipid rafts that activate the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in epithelial ovarian cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 1, Page 257-268, 1 July 2026.
What's New? Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is a severe malignancy with few effective treatment options. While the mechanisms remain unclear, changes in lipid metabolism may fuel tumor growth and EOC progression, offering a possible path for new treatments.

Granulosa Cell Tumour in a Spayed Cat With Ovarian Remnant Syndrome and Hyperestrogenaemia Without Estrus Signs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Granulosa cell tumour arising from ovarian remnant tissue can occur in spayed cats without overt estrus signs, despite marked hyperestrogenaemia. In this case, CT showed a large abdominal mass contiguous with ovarian vasculature; surgery and histopathology confirmed granulosa cell tumour with hepatic metastasis.

A Primate‐Specific lncRNA LINC01021 Contributes to Cellular and Organismal Aging via DAZAP1‐Dependent Destabilization of RBMX

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
Primate‐specific lncRNA LINC01021 promotes aging by enhancing cellular senescence and accelerating aspects of organismal decline. Mechanistically, LINC01021 induces DAZAP1‐mediated destabilization of RBMX, activating the P53 pathway and establishing a primate‐specific regulatory axis in aging.
