Egg‐Carrying and Cheliceral Comb in Ibaloniinae Harvestmen From the Solomon Islands (Opiliones: Podoctidae)

ABSTRACT Four new species of Ibaloniinae harvestmen are described from the Solomon Islands, Melanesia. Based on the original diagnosis of Euibalonius Roewer, 1915, and description of E. maculatus (Roewer, 1915), this material appeared related to that genus. However, examination of syntype photographs of the type species E.

ABSTRACT In this contribution to the study of pygmy grasshoppers, a new genus is described, which inhabits the high Andean forests and páramos surrounding the Bogotá Savannah, Colombia. Bogotattetix Cadena‐Castañeda, García‐García & Tavares, gen. nov. includes a new species, Bogotattetix chingazaensis Cadena‐Castañeda, García‐García & Tavares, sp. nov.

Land‐use change and seasonality shape the taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity of fruit‐feeding butterflies in tropical dry forests. Pastures reduce phylogenetic diversity and increase wing fluctuating asymmetry, while taxonomic and functional diversity is greater in the wet season than in the dry season.
