A 50:50 mixture of phenmedipham (methylm-hydroxycarbanilatem-methylcarbanilate) and desmedipham [ethylm-hydroxycarbanilate carbanilate (ester)] was applied at 1.1, 2.2, and 4.4 kg/ha to weed-free sugarbeets(Beta vulgarisL. ‘Mono-HyD2’) at three growth stages in the morning and afternoon to evaluate factors associated with phytotoxicity. Sugarbeet stand

Greenhouse studies determined the influence of 14 adjuvants and desmedipham plus phenmedipham on velvetleaf control and sugarbeet injury by triflusulfuron. A second study determined if six adjuvants, or desmedipham plus phenmedipham, influenced14C-triflusulfuron absorption by cotyledon or first true leaves of velvetleaf. Triflusulfuron applied twice at

The type of growth chamber environmental regime used altered the response of sugarbeets (Beta vulgarisL. ‘USH-9′) to desmedipham [ethylm-hydroxycarbanilate carbanilate(ester)]. No difference occurred in growth retardation following treatment at different times of day when standard growth chamber constant day/night temperature and light cycles were used.

AbstractPhenmedipham and desmedipham, when injected into a gas chromatograph with N, N, N‐trimethylanilinium hydroxide, reacted to give derivatives having good gas chromatographic properties. By this procedure, these two carbamate herbicides yielded N‐methylated 3‐methoxyphenylcarbamates.

Möglichkeiten der Unkrautbekämpfung in Zuckerrübe unter Ausschluss von Desmedipham und Phenmedipham
With the European Commission's decision not to renew Desmedipham's approval, the herbicide strategy in sugar beet must be reconsidered. The situation could be exacerbated by discontinuing Phenmedipham. To define alternative options for weed control, plot trials were carried out at two locations and twelve herbicide strategies were evaluated for their ...openaire +1 more source
