An experimental method is presented for characterizing the full optical behavior of few-mode power detectors. The technique involves illuminating the detector with a pair of coherent sources. When the phase of one source is rotated relative to the other, the detector output displays a fringe.

Purpose:Lung SBRT is being used by an increasing number of clinics, including our center which recently treated its first patient. In order to validate this technique, the 3D dose distribution of the SBRT plan was measured using a previously developed 3D detector based on plenoptic camera and plastic scintillator technology.

Response function of a widely used 3in×3in NaI(Tl) detector is constructed to correct the observed pulse height distribution. A 10×10 inverse matrix is constructed using 7 mono-energetic gamma sources ((57)Co, (203)Hg, (133)Ba, (22)Na, (137)Cs, (54)Mn and (65)Zn) which are evenly spaced in energy scale to unscramble the observed pulse height ...

Abstract A novel tank reactor equipped with t otal electron yield (TEY) detectors was designed and constructed for in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) investigations in the soft X-ray range (250 eV ⩽ by ⩽ 1000 eV) under elevated pressures (up to 20 mbar) and sample temperatures (up to 1000 K). This allows, for the first time, XAS studies in

Experimental and clinical evaluation of a digital flat-panel X-ray system based on cesium iodide (CsI) and amorphous silicon (a-Si).Performance of a prototype detector was compared with conventional screen-film radiography (SFR) using several phantom studies. Foreign bodies, fractures, osteolyses, and pulmonary lesions were analyzed.
