Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Counting and properties of semi magic squares 6x6

open access: yesمجلة جامعة الزيتونة
In this paper, we consider this type of the classical semi magic squares 6 6 having the four corner property, namely the semi squares, We list counting of this type . We present the general form of this type. We classified the set of squares according to

Forms of Determinism for Automata

open access: yes, 2012
We survey in this paper some variants of the notion of determinism, refining the spectrum between non-determinism and determinism. We present unambiguous automata, strongly unambiguous automata, prophetic automata, guidable automata, and history-deterministic automata. We instantiate these various notions for finite words, infinite words, finite trees,

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Semantics of Form in Arabic In the mirror of European languages [PDF]

open access: yes
Justice's first aim in this volume is to demystify the Arabic language, which is widely perceived as difficult to learn, and has been characterised as ambiguous and confusingly polysemous.
