Categorising Self-Determination: Four Forms

open access: yesGerman Yearbook of International Law, 2020
International law has a self-determination problem. The paradoxes raised bythe concept, almost like a Russian doll, beget ever more paradoxes. Yet, when pressed forclarity as to its scope, scholars, practitioners, and legal advisers all shy away from precisedefinitions. Based on the apparent collision of competing claims, self-determination is re-duced

Determinant identities for toeplitz-hessenberg matrices with tribonacci entries [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions on Combinatorics, 2020
In this paper‎, ‎we evaluate determinants of some families of Toeplitz--Hessenberg matrices having tribonacci number entries‎. ‎These determinant formulas may also be expressed equivalently as identities that involve sums of products of multinomial ...

Determinan Matriks FLScircr Bentuk Khusus n×n,n≥3 Menggunakan Metode Salihu

open access: yesJurnal Fourier, 2019

Pseudo-BCS wave function from density matrix decomposition: Application in auxiliary-field quantum Monte Carlo

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
We present a method to construct pseudo-BCS wave functions from the one-body density matrix. The resulting many-body wave function, which can be produced for any fermion systems, including those with purely repulsive interactions, has the form of a ...

Determination of the Strange Nucleon Form Factors [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2015
The strange contribution to the electric and magnetic form factors of the nucleon is determined at a range of discrete values of $Q^2$ up to $1.4$ GeV$^2$. This is done by combining recent lattice QCD results for the electromagnetic form factors of the octet baryons with experimental determinations of those quantities.

Determinant solution for the Totally Asymmetric Exclusion Process with parallel update [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We consider the totally asymmetric exclusion process in discrete time with the parallel update. Constructing an appropriate transformation of the evolution operator, we reduce the problem to that solvable by the Bethe ansatz.

Exploring the Characteristics of Δh Bivariate Appell Polynomials: An In-Depth Investigation and Extension through Fractional Operators

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The objective of this article is to introduce the ∆h bivariate Appell polynomials ∆hAs[r](λ,η;h) and their extended form via fractional operators. The study described in this paper follows the line of study in which the monomiality principle is used to ...

Investigating the Properties and Dynamic Applications of Δh Legendre–Appell Polynomials

open access: yesMathematics
This research aims to introduce and examine a new type of polynomial called the Δh Legendre–Appell polynomials. We use the monomiality principle and operational rules to define the Δh Legendre–Appell polynomials and explore their properties.

Identification of the transcriptional regulator NcrB in the nickel resistance determinant of Leptospirillum ferriphilum UBK03. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
The nickel resistance determinant ncrABCY was identified in Leptospirillum ferriphilum UBK03. Within this operon, ncrA and ncrC encode two membrane proteins that form an efflux system, and ncrB encodes NcrB, which belongs to an uncharacterized family ...

Forms of Physical Determination

open access: yesScience & Society, 2002
Four forms of physical determination are presently known in physics: classical or mechanical determination, related to classical mechanics; dynamical determination, related to the relativistic theories of electromagnetism and gravitation; classi- cal statistical determination, related to classical statistical theo- ries; and quantum statistical ...
