Performance Characterization of a Valveless Pulse Detonation Engine
A valveless pulse detonation engine geometry has been partially evaluated on a direct-connect test stand at simulated inlet flight conditions to the combustor. The geometry utilizes a fuel/oxygenenriched air initiator to initiate detonations in the main combustor and has been operated on ethylene, propane, and JP-IO.

Detonation driver for enhancing shock tube performance [PDF]
The development of a shock-induced detonation driver for enhancing the performance of a shock tube is described. The detonation wave is induced by the expansion of helium or air. Various gaseous fuel-oxidizer combinations are examined. This method produces a detonation wave which propagates downstream that transitions into a shock wave in the driven ...

Detonation performance measurements of cyclotol 80/20 [PDF]
Cyclotol is a melt-castable high explosive composed of RDX and TNT, and typically a small amount of HMX. The term Cyclotol may apply to other mixtures of these components, but for the present work, experiments were conducted using Cyclotol containing 80 wt% RDX and HMX and 20 wt% TNT (we will refer to mixtures of RDX and TNT using the notation RDX%/TNT%
