Influence of the presence of deuterium on displacement damage in tungsten
The influence of the presence of deuterium on displacement damage in tungsten is studied by implanting 20 MeV tungsten ions into displacement-damaged tungsten already containing 1.7 at.% deuterium.

Unlocking Lactonase Enzymes as Biocatalysts for the Deracemisation of Chiral γ‐Thiolactones
The application of lactonase enzymes as biocatalysts still remains underexplored. This study discloses the biocatalytic activity of two lactonases in the deracemisation of chiral C3‐substituted‐γ‐thiolactones. The biocatalyst GcL catalyses the enzymatic kinetic resolution (EKR) of C3‐amide‐thiolactones, while the rationally engineered biocatalyst N9 ...

Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Target Design for High‐Intensity Laser‐Driven Neutron Sources
This study presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐assisted target design that combines particle‐in‐cell simulations with gradient ascent algorithm to optimize laser‐driven neutron sources. By enhancing the sheath electric field, the optimized structure increases neutron yield by a factor of 4,000.

Varying leptonic chemical potentials and spatial variation of primordial deuterium at high z
We try to explain the spatial variation of primordial deuterium suggested by some observations by varying leptonic chemical potentials. The variation of the latter may take place in some scenarios of leptogenesis. The model predicts a large mass fraction

Access to N‐Monofluoromethylated (Thio)Carbamates, Formamides, Alkynamides, and Related Derivatives
The first general synthetic access to N‐CH₂F and N‐CHRF carbamates, thiocarbamates, formamides, alkynamides, and related compounds is disclosed. The method involves the direct synthesis of carbamoyl fluoride building blocks from readily available amines, followed by their derivatization. Abstract This work presents the first general synthetic access to

[2H26]-1-epi-Cubenol, a completely deuterated natural product from Streptomyces griseus
During growth on fully deuterated medium the volatile terpene [2H26]-1-epi-cubenol was released by the actinomycete Streptomyces griseus. This compound represents the first completely deuterated terpene obtained by fermentation.
