Multimodal Imaging Reveals Rapid Catecholamine Uptake and Release by Neutrophils

We show that immune cells (neutrophils) synthesize, uptake, and store catecholamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine or adrenaline. They also release them in response to specific stimuli (serotonin), which we directly visualize using fluorescent nanosensors. Bidirectional Photoswitching of a Tailored Azobenzene with Red and Far‐Red Light Involving Triplet Sensitization in an Aqueous System

Advanced Science, EarlyView.
The action spectrum of a tailored azobenzene is shifted toward bio‐optical window through the chemical modification of its singlet and triplet energy levels. Consequently, the bidirectional photo‐switching of azobenzene in physiological conditions is achieved when excited by red and far‐red light, which offers greater tissue penetration.

Degradation Mechanisms Associated with Electron‐Blocking Layers in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells

The effects of the three typical EBLs NiOx, PTAA, and 2PACz on the photovoltaic performance and degradation mechanisms are investigated under light soaking and solar‐thermal cycling conditions of corresponding PSCs, demonstrating that 2PACz is the best EBL due to the better interface contact and lower lattice distortion.

Localizable Fluorescent Metal Ion Indicators With Tunable Colors

A modular platform enables the generation of fluorescent metal ion indicators with tunable emission colors and precise subcellular localization. Conjugation to self‐labeling proteins yields bright, color‐tunable potassium probes that permit wash‐free live‐cell imaging, revealing dynamic potassium efflux in stimulated neurons.
