New approach in developing of the algorithms for resuscitation assistance
The 26th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2005The algorithms used in automated external defibrillators (AED) do not provide the necessary reliability of detection of fibrillation, especially in presence of artifacts. The system described in this article allows detecting different artifacts, improving the detection quality.

New developments on VCA unmixing algorithm
SPIE Proceedings, 2008Hyperspectral sensors are being developed for remote sensing applications. These sensors produce huge data volumes which require faster processing and analysis tools. Vertex component analysis (VCA) has become a very useful tool to unmix hyperspectral data. It has been successfully used to determine endmembers and unmix large hyperspectral data sets

New directions in the development of the ORASIS algorithm
SPIE Proceedings, 2004The Optical Real-time Adaptive Spectral Identification System (ORASIS) continues to be developed by the Naval Research Laboratory. Recently, new methods to compress hyperspectral data using ORASIS in combination with wavelets have been demonstrated. Variations on this approach continue to be pursued and will be discussed.

A new algorithm to develop hybrid systems
Computers & Chemical Engineering, 2005Abstract This work presents a new formalism and methodology to develop hybrid systems. This methodology is implemented in MODEL.LA Stephanopoulos et al., 1990 , Bieszczad et al., 1998 Koulouris, A., Geurts, K., & Stephanopoulos, G. (1998). MODEL.LA: A phenomena-based modelling language for process systems engineering.

A NEW APPROACH TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIDIMENSIONAL CRYPTOGRAPHY ALGORITHMS
Voprosy kiberbezopasnosti, 2023Purpose of work is the reduction in the size of the public key of public-key algorithms of multivariate cryptography based on the computational difficulty of solving systems of many power equations with many unknowns. Research method is use of non-linear mappings defined as exponentiation operations in finite extended fields GF(qm) represented in the ...

New development of the image matching algorithm
Ninth International Conference on Graphic and Image Processing (ICGIP 2017), 2018To study the image matching algorithm, algorithm four elements are described, i.e., similarity measurement, feature space, search space and search strategy. Four common indexes for evaluating the image matching algorithm are described, i.e., matching accuracy, matching efficiency, robustness and universality.

Development of a New Algorithm for Detection of Mammographic Masses
1998The rate of breast cancer occurrence is increasing and it is estimated that breast cancer will be the top cause of Japanese women’s cancer mortality quite soon. The examination by mammography is now becoming a major diagnostic tool for finding the cancers at an early stage.

Development of a new QT algorithm with heterogenous ECG databases
Journal of Electrocardiology, 2003An algorithm for automated QT interval assessments has been developed and evaluated using the PhysioNet QT database and the electrocardiogram multilead database (2 collections of electrocardiograms with different characteristics, eg, numbers of leads and expert annotations). QRS onset and coarse T offset detection was based on the definition of a short

New developments in evolutionary structure prediction algorithm USPEX
Computer Physics Communications, 2013a b s t r a c t We present new developments of the evolutionary algorithm USPEX for crystal structure prediction and its adaptation to cluster structure prediction. We show how to generate randomly symmetric structures, and how to introduce 'smart' variation operators, learning about preferable local environments.

New approach of fast ICT and MICT algorithms development
Proceedings of Third International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems, 2002New approach of fast ICT (Integer Cosine Transform) and MICT (Modified ICT) algorithms development is described in the paper. Both-ICT and MICT-transforms are the integer approximations of DCT. As the properties of ICT and MICT are close to those of DCT and their transform kernel is based on integers their computational complexity is less than in the ...
