IoTDevID: A Behavior-Based Device Identification Method for the IoT

open access: yes, 2022
Device identification is one way to secure a network of IoT devices, whereby devices identified as suspicious can subsequently be isolated from a network.

Wireless device identification with radiometric signatures [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 14th ACM international conference on Mobile computing and networking, 2008
We design, implement, and evaluate a technique to identify the source network interface card (NIC) of an IEEE 802.11 frame through passive radio-frequency analysis. This technique, called PARADIS, leverages minute imperfections of transmitter hardware that are acquired at manufacture and are present even in otherwise identical NICs. These imperfections

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

In-Vitro Study to Check the Viability of Fixed Partial Dentures with Built-in Passive RFIDs-A Forensic Dentistry Tool [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2019
Introduction: Lack of quick and easy techniques to handle human identification devices during mass disasters like Indian Ocean earthquake and Tsunami (2004), Kedarnath landslide (2013), Kolkata market fire (2013), Chennai flood (2015), and Kerala flood ...

Effectiveness of a Novel Low‐Density Lipoprotein Apheresis Device Rheocarna in Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) is a severe form of lower‐extremity artery disease characterized by distal lesions and microcirculatory impairment, limiting revascularization efficacy. Rheocarna is a direct hemoperfusion low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) adsorption device with potential rheological and anti‐inflammatory ...

Device Light Fingerprints Identification Using MCU-Based Deep Learning Approach

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
We introduce device identification using the light fingerprint by a MCU-based deep learning approach. At first, we observe that minor differences exist for individual components of lighting equipment.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Device Identification Based on Communication Analysis for the Internet of Things

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
As the Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly expanding, a huge variety of devices is being connected to the Internet. Device management is becoming an important topic for IoT. Especially for using devices properly and securely, it is necessary to visualize

CNN-Based Fast Source Device Identification [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2020
Source identification is an important topic in image forensics, since it allows to trace back the origin of an image. This represents a precious information to claim intellectual property but also to reveal the authors of illicit materials. In this paper we address the problem of device identification based on sensor noise and propose a fast and ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
