Understanding Opportunity Costs of Women Participating in Maternal and Child Nutrition Interventions in Southern Angola: Evidence From the MuCCUA Trial

open access: yesMaternal &Child Nutrition, Volume 22, Issue 3, July 2026.
Economic evaluations of multisectoral nutrition interventions often overlook participants' costs. Using MuCCUA trial data, we estimated women's opportunity costs of three maternal and child nutrition interventions in Angola. Remote participants faced burdens equivalent to 1–1.5 workdays monthly.

Responsive Mealtime Matters: Feeding Autonomy and Varied Settings Were Associated With Problem‐Solving Skills of Ethiopian Children Aged 6–23 Months

open access: yesMaternal &Child Nutrition, Volume 22, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Although Ethiopia has established an early childhood development (ECD) policy framework and implemented various nutrition and health interventions, substantial risks for poor ECD outcomes persist. This study aimed to determine the association between responsive feeding (RF) practices and problem‐solving skills of children aged 6–23 months.

Mercury's Eccentric Orbit as a Driver of Significant “Seasonal” Change in Upstream Solar Wind Forcing

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract Mercury experiences the most intense and variable solar wind (SW) conditions in the solar system due to its close, eccentric orbit about the Sun. In addition to variation driven by coronal source and solar cycle, the SW arriving at Mercury varies periodically as the planet's heliocentric distance changes by over 50% per orbit.

Impact of Varying Soybean Oil Concentrations on the Cytokine Profile of Skeletal Muscle and Liver of Pigs: A Systems Biology Approach

open access: yesAnimal Genetics, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Lipids are important for metabolic processes, mainly cytokine regulation in the skeletal muscle and liver. Considering the soybean oil concentration, a weighted gene co‐expression network analysis (WGCNA) was used to perform an integrative analysis in skeletal muscle and liver tissues.
