A diversity-oriented approach for the generation of thermochemical benchmark sets is presented. Test sets consisting of randomly generated "artificial molecules" (AMs) are proposed that rely on systematic constraints rather than uncontrolled chemical biases.

Those properties allow us to create Table 1, listing the appropriate arctan approximation based on the octant location of complex x. So we have to check the signs of Q and I, and see if |Q | > |I |, to determine the octant location and then use the appropriate approximation in Table 1.

An algorithm is proposed to compute the inverse complex DFT (discrete Fourier transform) through the use of a forward DFT. The computation involves twice exchanges of the real and imaginary parts before and after execution of the forward DFT.

A DFT study of aminonitroimidazoles
Journal of Molecular Modeling, 2011Density functional theory (DFT) calculations at the B3LYP/aug-cc-pVDZ level were performed to explore the geometric and electronic structures, band gaps, thermodynamic properties, densities and performances of aminonitroimidazoles. The calculated performance properties, stabilities and sensitivities of the model compounds appear to be promising ...

A.E. Kahveci and E.L. Hall (see IEEE Trans. Comput., vol.C-23, no.9, p.976-81, Sept. 1974) introduced the concept of filtering discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spectra in the Walsh sequency domain. This is accomplished by finding a real and block-diagonal Walsh filter matrix G/sub w/ in the Walsh domain that performs the sample filtering operation as ...

In this article, it is shown how to estimate the frequency response function of a linear system using a three-level digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and a 1-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Estimation requires the usage of a three-level periodic stimulus signal and a sinewave, used as a dither signal to improve the effective resolution of the 1 ...

DFT Aware Layout - Layout Aware DFT
14th Asian Test Symposium (ATS'05), 2005The era of the SOC and sub 100nm process technologies has created several new sets of challenges for the test engineer. One of these is the return to prominence of the effect of test infrastructure on the overall physical design of the device. This time it is not impact of logic overhead which is at the top of the list but the need for DFT to interact ...

A DFT algorithm based on filter banks: the extended subband DFT
Proceedings 2003 International Conference on Image Processing (Cat. No.03CH37429), 2004A DFT algorithm, the extended subband DFT (ESB-DFT), is presented, which overcomes the problem of low accuracy the subband DFT (SB-DFT) S.K. Mitra et al., (1990) O.V. Shentov et al., (1991) suffers from when applied in its approximate mode for signals with full spectrum. The proposed ESB-DFT is based upon the analysis of the input signal using a filter
