Schematic diagram depicting the proposed signaling mechanisms underlying the effects of FBXL4 in the setting of cardiac hypertrophy. Under hypertrophic stimulation, cardiomyocytes‐specific overexpression FBXL4 maintains sarcomere integrity and cardiac function by enhancing K48‐linked ubiquitinated degradation of PFN1 at the K70 site.

M-mode echocardiography measurements of healthy Brazilian random bred cats
To determine the M-mode echocardiography reference measurements for Brazilian random bred cats in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Cats presenting for routine care were examined by M-mode echocardiography. Animals with free wall values of the left ventricle and/

In trophoblast cells, T/S (TNFα + SM164) activated caspase‐3, which cleaved GSDME to switch apoptosis to pyroptosis, causing cell swelling, membrane rupture, and release of LDH, HMGB1, IL‐1β and IL‐18. These cytokines induced pro‐inflammatory macrophage polarization, which in turn reinforced pyroptotic signaling in trophoblasts, amplifying systemic ...

This study develops a hierarchically porous hydrogel patch strategy (HPMP), based on gas‐shearing microfluidics and an aqueous two‐phase system to fabricate porous microgels as microgel‐based bioinks. The porous microgels with controllable porous structure exhibit excellent cellular behavior.

We hypothesized that left ventricular and left atrial volume ratio (LVLAVR) assessed by three‐dimensional echocardiography (3DE) reflects age‐ and gender‐related change in left chamber size.

This study demonstrates that inflammatory stimuli induce the acetylation‐triggered, chaperone‐mediated autophagic degradation of ubiquitin‐specific peptidase 9 X‐linked (USP9X) in macrophages. USP9X acts as a macrophage “inflammation switch” after myocardial infarction (MI). USP9X loss destabilizes tumor necrosis factor receptor‐associated factor (TRAF)

The effect of cardiac phase on distractor suppression and motor inhibition in a stop-signal task
Past work has shown that stimuli timed to the cardiac systole, the time at which heartbeat feedback is transmitted to the brain, can be more effectively selected from conflicting information.

Incidental finding of large pneumothorax on Cardiac MR scan
Background We believe this is the first case report of a pneumothorax being identified using cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. This case also illustrates the haemodynamic effect a large pneumothorax can have on right ventricular filling in diastole ...

This study highlights that radioimmunotherapy drives crosstalk between fibroblasts and immune cells (especially macrophages) in the cardiac microenvironment, with IL‐6 as the key mediator, and tocilizumab alleviates cardiac fibrosis by targeting this interplay.
