Simultaneous Determination of Di(2-Ethylhexyl)phthalate and Mono(2-Ethylhexyl)phthalate in Human Plasma by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesAnalytical Letters, 2003
A method for the simultaneous determination of di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate and its major metabolite mono(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate in human plasma by high-performance liquid chromatography is described.

Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate and mono(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate in media for in vitro fertilization

Chemosphere, 2012
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the most important treatments of infertility to provide a chance of conceiving. In IVF treatment, sperm are washed and motile sperm are isolated with sperm washing media (SWM) for the purpose of fertilization; fertilized ova are then incubated for a maximum of 5 or 6d in media for IVF (IVFM).

Assessment of the teratogenicity of di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate and mono(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate in mice

Archives of Toxicology, 1985
Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) and mono-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (MEHP) were administered PO or IP to pregnant ICR mice at varying doses on days 7, 8, and 9 of gestation. In groups given DEHP orally, resorptions and malformed fetuses increased significantly at 1,000 mg/kg. Fetal weights were also significantly suppressed. Anterior neural tube defects (

Enzymatic hydrolysis of Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate by lipases

Lipids and Lipid Metabolism, 1973
Abstract Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate was hydrolyzed by lipases from a variety of rat tissues. Of the preparations studied, only glycerol-ester hydrolase (pancreatic lipase, EC 3.1.1.3) and sterol-ester -hydrolase (cholesteryl ester hydrolase, EC 3.1.1.13) were unable to hydrolyze the phthalate diester. However, out of 15 different tissue preparations,
