Density of States and Binding Energy Informatics for Exploring Early Disease Detection in MOF‐Metal Oxide Chemiresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Binding energy and electronic structure calculations are used to assess the ability of metal–organic framework (MOF)‐TiO2 composite materials to detect volatile organic compounds found in human breath. Electronic structure changes are measured by comparing density of states profiles using Wasserstein distances.

Accelerated Bone Healing via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrical stimulation significantly impacts bone healing by enhancing osteoblast proliferation, differentiation, and vascularization through calmodulin/calcineurin/NFAT signaling. It also boosts macrophage function and cell migration, presenting a comprehensive approach to accelerating bone repair.

The Placenta Regulates Intrauterine Fetal Growth via Exosomal PPARγ

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The placenta expresses much higher levels of PPARγ than fetal adipose tissue. Trophoblastic exosomes transport PPARγ into fetal preadipocytes via fetoplacental circulation and thus regulate adipogenic genes distinct from endogenous PPARγ. Compromised placental PPARγ leads to fetal adipogenesis deficiency and intrauterine growth restriction, reversible ...

The Antiviral Efficacy and Safety of Azvudine in Hospitalized SARS‐CoV‐2 Infected Patients with Liver Diseases Based on a Multicenter, Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Azvudine shows benefits in reducing all‐cause mortality in hospitalized SARS‐CoV‐2 infected patients and liver diseases. COVID‐19 patients with kidney disease and without autoimmune diseases show a preference for azvudine. Azvudine may be a promising antiviral agent for treating COVID‐19 concomitant with liver diseases.
