Metabolic Reprogramming Driven by Trophoblasts and Decidual XCR1+PMN‐MDSC Crosstalk Controls Adverse Outcomes Associated With Advanced Maternal Age

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interaction between trophoblasts and decidual polymorphonuclear myeloid‐derived suppressor cells (dPMN‐MDSCs) via the XCL1–XCR1 axis is crucial for fetal development during the third trimester. Disruption of this axis impairs FOXO1 activity and causes metabolic imbalance in dPMN‐MDSCs, contributing to adverse outcomes associated with advanced ...

Palmitoylation‐Mediated Ubiquitination of SRPK1 Regulates Ferroptosis in High‐Fat‐Induced Erectile Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Elevated exogenous palmitic acid promotes the S‐palmitoylation of SRPK1 in endothelial cells, a dynamic process governed by ZDHHC24 and APT1. This post‐translational modification strengthens the interaction between SRPK1 and the E3 ubiquitin ligase MIB1, thereby facilitating the proteasomal degradation of SRPK1.

Perbandingan Pendidikan Kesehatan Antara Metode Diskusi Dan Pemecahan Masalah Dalam Perubahan Perilaku Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di RSUD Swadana Pekalongan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Forty-five percents of 2.4 millions diabetes mellitus patients in Indonesia could not be treated well because of noncompliance to the treatment. One of the reasons of this noncompliance was the lack of understanding about diabetes mellitus disease.

[Placental permeability in experimental diabetes mellitus].

open access: yesProblemy endokrinologii, 1978
The work was performed on female rats to which alloxan was administered at immature age. Placental permeability was studied in female rats, healthy ones (170 fetuses), with prediabetes (124 fetuses), with latent diabetes (102 fetuses), and with manifest diabetes (112 fetuses). Permeability of placental membrane was assessed by means of the fluorimetric

HMGB2–RAD21 Axis Promotes Fibro/Adipogenic Progenitor Proliferation and Regulates Fat Infiltration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first developmental atlas of embryonic skeletal muscle fibro/adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) and identified an HMGB2+ FAPs subpopulation that regulates FAP pool size and muscle homeostasis. HMGB2 directly targets the RAD21 promoter, and its knockout significantly reduces FAP numbers, thereby lowering the potential for ...

A Novel CYP2E1 Inhibitor, 4‐Methyl‐5‐Acetylthiazole (Q11), Alleviates Obesity Via Modulating Adipose Inflammation and Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Obesity involves chronic inflammation and mitochondrial dysfunction. This study identifies cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) as a novel inflammatory target in adipose tissue. Its activity increases in obese mice and correlates with inflammation and mitochondrial impairment.

Peroxidative changes in experimental diabetes mellitus.

open access: yesThe Indian journal of medical research, 1992
Changes in the levels of lipid peroxides and antioxidant enzymes were studied in male albino rats with experimental diabetes mellitus. Diabetes was induced by single subcutaneous injection of alloxan (19 mg/100 g body weight). The concentration of malondialdehyde (MDA) showed an increase both in the liver (P less than 0.01) and kidney (0 less than 0.05)

Endothelial Cell‐Specific Molecule‐1 (ESM1): An Endogenous Anticoagulant and Protective Factor in Venous Thrombosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ESM1 as an endogenous anticoagulant that modulates venous thrombosis. It shows that ESM1 deficiency triggers vascular occlusion in zebrafish and mice, whereas its restoration or overexpression prolongs clot‐formation time. Mechanistic analyses reveal that ESM1 activates HCII through its dermatan‐sulfate chain, uncovering a ...

Label‐Free Leukocyte Biophysical Profiling Using Impedance‐Deformability Cytometry for Rapid Cardiovascular Risk Stratification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an impedance‐based single‐cell profiling platform that quantifies the electrical and mechanical properties of neutrophils across in vitro, in vivo, and clinical samples. The approach reveals distinct biophysical alterations associated with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and cardiovascular complications, suggesting its potential utility for ...
