Guidelines for nutrition in adults with head and neck cancer: The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition

open access: yesJournal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Volume 50, Issue 3, Page 274-338, April 2026.
Abstract Background Head and neck cancer represents the seventh most common cancer diagnosis globally. The Southern California Healthcare Delivery Science Center: A Model for Aligning Patients, Healthcare Systems, and Researchers to Develop, Test, and Disseminate Innovations to Achieve Health Equity

open access: yesLearning Health Systems, Volume 10, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction A key barrier to translating evidence into practice is the paucity of learning health system (LHS) researchers elucidating and addressing barriers to implementation and maintenance. Methods In response to the growing need for a workforce dedicated to translating evidence into practice, we developed the Southern California ...

The Homeobox Genes: Classification, Regulation, Biological Functions, and Diseases

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
Overview of the homeobox gene superfamily and its pathophysiological roles. The homeobox superfamily comprises several major classes, including ANTP, PRD, TALE, LIM, POU, and others. Among these, the HOX clusters (A–D) play critical roles in embryonic development specifically in conferring cellular identity, regulating morphogenesis, and guiding axial ...

Systematic Proteomic Characterization of EV‐A71‐Infected Mice Identifies Dynamic Molecular Changes and Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
Time‐resolved multi‐omics of EV‐A71‐infected BALB/c mice uncovered dynamic host responses, revealing rapid neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) activation as a key event. Screened drugs (kinase inhibitors) suppressed viral replication in vitro and in vivo, suggesting the promise of targeting host phosphorylation networks as a viable antiviral strategy.
