An In Situ Embedded B‐MOF Sponge With Shape‐Memory for All‐in‐One Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A smart shape‐memory sponge dressing (P1A3@B‐MOF) is developed for accelerated diabetic wound healing. It achieves pH‐responsive corelease of Zn2+ and salvianolic acid B, synergistically providing antibacterial action, repolarizing macrophages to the M2 phenotype, and promoting angiogenesis.

CRISPR/CasRx-Mediated Knockdown of Rab7B Restores Incomplete Cell Shape Induced by Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease-Associated PLP1 p.Ala243Val

open access: yesNeuroscience Insights
Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD, currently known as hypomyelinating leukodystrophy type 1 [HLD1]) is a hereditary hypomyelinating and/or demyelinating disease associated with the proteolipid protein 1 (plp1) gene in the central nervous system (CNS ...

Diabetic Somatic Neuropathies [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetes Care, 2004
ropathic pain (7–10), and this and other putative mechanisms will be discussed. The clinical features, diagnosis, and management of the focal and multifocal neuropathies will be described. A major portion of this review will discuss the clinical features, assessment, and management of the patient with the most common form of DN, diabetic distal sensory

Ultrasound Controlled‐Release Hydrogel Promotes Diabetic Wound Healing via Neuroimmune Modulation and Synergistic ROS Scavenging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an ultrasound‐responsive hydrogel (MCF@CA) that co‐delivers a neuropeptide (CGRP) and a ROS‐scavenging manganese porphyrin to diabetic wounds. The system restores neuro‐immune communication, reprograms macrophages toward an anti‐inflammatory phenotype, and clears excess ROS, thereby accelerating wound closure and promoting mature ...

Effectiveness of Pre‐Transplant Dual GLP‐1 Receptor Agonist and SGLT2 Inhibitor Therapy on All‐Cause Mortality in Organ Transplantation Candidates with Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes: a Target‐Trial Emulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This target trial emulation in solid organ transplant candidates with obesity and type 2 diabetes evaluates whether pre‐transplant dual therapy with GLP‐1 receptor agonists plus SGLT2 inhibitors is associated with post‐transplant mortality and kidney graft outcomes compared with monotherapy or usual care, using multinational electronic health records ...
