Testing sea urchin and green sea turtle consumption of the allelopathic macroalga Galaxaura divaricata. [PDF]
This study investigates the feeding preferences of sea urchins and green sea turtles for the coral‐damaging macroalga Galaxaura divaricata. Results indicate that while sea urchins consume both G. divaricata and a preferred nonallelopathic alga, their consumption rates are significantly lower for G. divaricata.
