Neutralization of the PTX3/CD44 axis suppresses TGF‐β1 signaling in kidney fibrosis
This study investigates how the PTX3/CD44 axis promotes kidney fibrosis by activating TGF‐β1 signaling. We demonstrate that the neutralizing antibody WHC‐001 effectively inhibits this pathway, suppressing myofibroblast activation and partial epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT).

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

The Importance of Copy Number Variant Analysis in Patients with Monogenic Kidney Disease
Introduction: Genetic testing can reveal monogenic causes of kidney diseases, offering diagnostic, therapeutic, and prognostic benefits. Although single nucleotide variants (SNVs) and copy number variants (CNVs) can result in kidney disease, CNV analysis

Low Diagnostic Yield in a Memory Disorders Clinic
A review of the first 144 patients to attend a Memory Disorders Clinic found not one case of treatable dementia. The use of a routine comprehensive battery of investigations was not supported: however, computerized tomographic brain scans and electroencephalograms were moderately useful in diagnosing dementia.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
