Abstract In many environmental problems, emissions are hard to monitor and abatement costs are privately known. We study how efficient abatement nevertheless can be induced through market‐like arrangements that condition transfers on verifiable abatement rather than on measured emissions.

The relationship between intergenerational mobility and equality of opportunity
Abstract Among economists, the analysis of social mobility and the role of parental background is largely carried out in two separate strands of research. The intergenerational mobility literature estimates parent–child persistence in some outcome of interest, such as income.

Accuracy of next‐generation wireless skin temperature sensors during exercise–heat stress
Abstract Skin temperature is fundamental in characterising human thermoregulatory responses. Wired probes, although accurate, restrict movement and are impractical outside laboratory settings. The iButton (DS1922L; Maxim Integrated, USA) is a widely used wireless alternative but does not meet the precision recommended by ISO 9886 and permits only ...

Weak Lipschitz structures and their connections with the topological structures
Two approaches to Lipschitz structures for any set are presented, studied and compared. The first approach is similar to the one proposed in Fraser, Jr. R.

Combining phenomic and genomic selection for pea breeding improvement
Abstract Pea (Pisum sativum L.) is a strategic crop in the development of sustainable agriculture. However, the genetic gain remains limited despite advances in breeding. Genomic selection holds promise to accelerate varietal improvement, but its high implementation cost restricts its use in crops.

Wavelet‐Based Hurst Exponent Estimation
The review explores how wavelet‐based methods for estimating the Hurst parameters have developed from their theoretical roots to real‐world applications in fields like biology, engineering, and telecommunications. The review aims to highlight key techniques, compare their strengths and limitations, and point out challenges that still need to be ...
