Abstract Sugarcane (Saccharum spp. hybrids), the source of ∼80% of the worlds sugar, has experienced a plateau in genetic improvement over recent decades. This stagnation is largely due to the crop's complex polyploid genome and long breeding cycles, which limit the efficiency of traditional selection methods.

We investigated the phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary history of Lysimachia using complete chloroplast genomes from four species. Tiaoqi Daozhi Decoction (TQDZD) is a classic formulation composed of eight medicine‐food homologous botanicals. UPLC‐MS/MS profiling identified 1962 non‐redundant compounds in its aqueous extract, predominantly phenolic acids and flavonoids, of which 107 metabolites were systemically bioavailable.
