A diagonal dominance condition for robust decentralized variable structure control
The robust tracking control of MIMO systems by means of simple decentralized variable-structure controllers is considered. The model of the system that is assumed to be available is a linear I/O map (e.g., a transfer function matrix) affected by bounded uncertainties and subject to bounded input disturbances.

Fischer's Diagonal Condition for Lattice-Valued Convergence Spaces
Quaestiones Mathematicae, 2008We study a generalization of a diagonal condition which classically ensures that a convergence space is topological. We show that only under an additional condition, which classically is always true, the validity of this diagonal condition implies that a Heyting algebra-valued convergence space is L-topological.

This is a study of maximal ideals in simplified and full Colombeau algebras of generalized functions. Compared to previous work of the authors, new points of view that enter the analysis are the incorporation of \textit{E. E. Rosinger}'s work on general embeddings of distributions into algebras of generalized functions using ``off diagonal'' conditions
