Matrix diagonalization algorithm and its applicability to the nuclear shell model
Physical Review C, 2011An importance-sampling iterative algorithm for diagonalizing shell model Hamiltonian matrices is reviewed and implemented in a spin uncoupled basis. Shell model spaces of dimensions up to N < or approx.10{sup 9} are considered. The analysis shows that about 10% of the basis states are enough to bring the eigenvalues to convergence.

Large matrix diagonalization, comparison of various algorithms and a new proposal
Chemical Physics Letters, 1994Abstract We compare various algorithms for large matrix diagonalization, namely the Davidson and Olsen—Davidson algorithms, and a Lanczos-like one, as well as a new method introduced here. The numerical tests are performed with the help of a model involving a vibronic Hamiltonian and a bath.

A Power Iteration Algorithm for ICA Based on Diagonalizations of Non-Linearized Covariance Matrix
First International Conference on Innovative Computing, Information and Control - Volume I (ICICIC'06), 2006In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm, "Power- ICA", for independent component analysis (ICA) that is analog of the power iteration for solving the eigenvalue problem of a matrix. In each iteration the updating of ICA matrix is fully-multiplicative, rather than the partly multiplicative and partly additive in the conventional learning algorithms.

The Improved Diagonal-Matrix-Weight IMM Algorithm Based on LDU Factorization
2012The diagonal-matrix-weight IMM (DIMM) algorithm can solve the IMM algorithm confusions of probability density functions (PDFs) and probability masses of stochastic process. However, the DIMM algorithm may generate calculating divergence, caused by the fact that the state error covariance matrix is repeatedly applied to calculate the inverse matrix.
