On the Diameter of Matroid Ports [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2008
A clutter or antichain on a set defines a hypergraph. Matroid ports are a special class of clutters, and this paper deals with the diameter of matroid ports, that is, the diameter of the corresponding hypergraphs. Specifically, we prove that the diameter of every matroid port is at most $2$.

Extra Edge Connectivity and Extremal Problems in Education Networks

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Extra edge connectivity and diagnosability have been employed to investigate the fault tolerance properties of network structures. The p-extra edge connectivity λp(Γ) of a graph Γ was introduced by Fàbrega and Fiol in 1996.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Effect of humidity on diameter of polyamide 6 nanofiber in electrospinning process

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal, 2016
Various thermoplastic polymers have been spun to nanofibers by the electrospinning method, in which a polymer solution is ejected as a fine jet of liquid from the tip of the needle and is deposited on the collector by applying a high voltage to the ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

On the Order-Diameter Ratio of Girth-Diameter Cages

open access: yes
For integers $k,g,d$, a $(k;g,d)$-cage (or simply girth-diameter cage) is a smallest $k$-regular graph of girth $g$ and diameter $d$ (if it exists). The order of a $(k;g,d)$-cage is denoted by $n(k;g,d)$. We determine asymptotic lower and upper bounds for the ratio between the order and the diameter of girth-diameter cages as the diameter goes to ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.
