Quantum Phase Transitions in Alternating-Bond Mixed Diamond Chains with Spins 1 and 1/2
We investigate the mixed diamond chain composed of spins 1 and 1/2 when the exchange interaction is alternatingly distorted. Depending on the strengths of frustration and distortion, this system has various ground states. Each ground state consists of an

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

We consider the diamond chain with S=1/2 XYZ vertical dimers which interact with the intermediate sites via the interaction of the Ising type. We also suppose all four spins form the diamond-shaped plaquette to have different g-factors. The non-uniform g-

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Resistive Magnetohydrodynamic Simulations of Relativistic Magnetic Reconnection
Resistive relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (RRMHD) simulations are applied to investigate the system evolution of relativistic magnetic reconnection. A time-split Harten--Lan--van Leer method is employed.

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

4e-condensation in a fully frustrated Josephson junction diamond chain
Fully frustrated one-dimensional diamond Josephson chains have been shown [B. Dou\c{c}ot and J. Vidal, Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 88}, 227005 (2002)] to posses a remarkable property: The superfluid phase occurs through the condensation of pairs of Cooper ...
