Grinding cermets with diamond wheels
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 19671. It is shown that the chromium-carbide-base cermets cannot be machined by grinding with white corundum wheels or green silicon carbide wheels since this produces an unsatisfactory surface finish and reduces the bending strength of the material by 29%. 2.

Diamond Composites for Grinding Applications
1997A significant portion on industrial activity is centered around component forming, starting from a blank or near net shape and then using appropriate material removal processes to finish them. Some of the basic material removal processes include cutting, turning, milling, boring, as well as the use of loose and bonded abrasives.

Precision internal grinding with a metal-bonded diamond grinding wheel
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2000Abstract A metal-bonded grinding wheel, compared with conventional grinding wheels, offers the advantage of high hardness, high holding ability and finer usable abrasive grit mesh sizes. The truing and dressing of a metal-bonded diamond (MBD) wheel, in practice, are very difficult. To grind small-diameter internal cylindrical surface with MBD-wheels,
