Diamond-Bit Hydraulics Model

SPE Drilling Engineering, 1989
Summary This paper describes an analytical technique that calculates the fluid velocities and pressures under a surface-set diamond bit. The technique is based on solving the continuity and energy equations for a series of flow cells that covers the bit face.

Computer model of tetrahedral amorphous diamond

Physical Review B, 1995
We computer generate a model of amorphous diamond using the Wooten-Weaire method, with fourfold coordination everywhere. We investigate two models: one where four-membered rings are allowed and the other where the four-membered rings are forbidden; each model consisting of 4096 atoms.

Modeling of diamond radiation detectors

Journal of Applied Physics, 2004
We have built up a computer simulation of the detection mechanism in the diamond radiation detectors. The diamond detectors can be fabricated from a chemical vapour deposition polycrystalline diamond film. In this case, the trapping-detrapping and recombination at the defects inside the grains and at the grain boundaries degrade the transport ...

Competitiveness Model—A Double Diamond

Journal of the Knowledge Economy, 2011
Since Schumpeter, it has been assumed that innovation typically plays a key role in competitiveness at firm, industry and national levels. This assumption has been applied to firms both in developed and developing countries. However, the innovative capacity and business environments of firms in developing countries are different from these of firms in ...

A modelling of diamond nucleation

Diamond and Related Materials, 1995
Abstract Recently we proposed a model for diamond nucleation by means of the substrate bias pretreatment method. In order to verify the effectiveness of this model, the nucleation process was directly observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Modelling transition metals in diamond

Diamond and Related Materials, 2002
Abstract Transition metal impurities — common contaminants in synthetic high temperature high pressure diamond — are examined to determine their stability and hence, solubility. The method is computational and allows the investigation of metals, which have not yet been detected spectroscopically — although they may actually be present in the diamond.
