Towards a diamond SOA operational model

2010 IEEE International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing and Applications (SOCA), 2010
The triangular operational model with the three roles of service-registry, -provider, and -consumer has been the traditional operational model in Service-oriented Architectures (SOA). The central component in this model, the service registry, plays a passive role. This passive role is due to the lack of adequate information resources.

Competitiveness Model—A Double Diamond

Journal of the Knowledge Economy, 2011
Since Schumpeter, it has been assumed that innovation typically plays a key role in competitiveness at firm, industry and national levels. This assumption has been applied to firms both in developed and developing countries. However, the innovative capacity and business environments of firms in developing countries are different from these of firms in ...

Modelling the growth of natural diamonds

Chemical Geology, 1994
Abstract In the following article we have reviewed the mineralogical, chemical, physical and isotopic evidence concerning the growth of coated diamonds, and have combined it to produce a comprehensive model for their formation. We suggest that the coatings formed during a period of metasomatic activity which preceded the eruption of their host ...

Diamond-Bit Hydraulics Model

SPE Drilling Engineering, 1989
Summary This paper describes an analytical technique that calculates the fluid velocities and pressures under a surface-set diamond bit. The technique is based on solving the continuity and energy equations for a series of flow cells that covers the bit face.

Porter’s diamond model

International Journal of Research and Innovation in Applied Science
Michael Porter’s Diamond Model is also known as the Theory of National Competitive Advantage of Industries. It is a diamond-shaped framework that focuses on explaining why certain industries within a particular nation are competitive internationally, whereas many are not.

Modeling of diamond radiation detectors

Journal of Applied Physics, 2004
We have built up a computer simulation of the detection mechanism in the diamond radiation detectors. The diamond detectors can be fabricated from a chemical vapour deposition polycrystalline diamond film. In this case, the trapping-detrapping and recombination at the defects inside the grains and at the grain boundaries degrade the transport ...

Modelling transition metals in diamond

Diamond and Related Materials, 2002
Abstract Transition metal impurities — common contaminants in synthetic high temperature high pressure diamond — are examined to determine their stability and hence, solubility. The method is computational and allows the investigation of metals, which have not yet been detected spectroscopically — although they may actually be present in the diamond.

Modeling polydispersive ensembles of diamond nanoparticles

Nanotechnology, 2013
While significant progress has been made toward production of monodispersed samples of a variety of nanoparticles, in cases such as diamond nanoparticles (nanodiamonds) a significant degree of polydispersivity persists, so scaling-up of laboratory applications to industrial levels has its challenges.

An Exploratory Study on Curating Diamond Model: Application of the remodified cultural diamond model

Korean Arts Association of Arts Management
This work conducts an in-depth exploration of the abstraction and uncertainty of the concept of ‘curating’ and proposes a ‘curating diamond’ model. The model is built on Howard Becker's ‘art worlds’ theory and Victoria Alexander's ‘revised cultural diamond’ model.

Choosing Longevity with Overlapping Generations: To Be or Not to Be in Diamond's Model

The B.E. Journal of Macroeconomics, 2008
We extend Diamond's (1965) OLG model to allow agents to choose whether to participate in the second period of life. The valuation of early exit (x) is a key parameter. We characterize competitive equilibria, efficient allocations, and predictions for income and life expectancy over time. We find that, with logarithmic utility, for any value of x, there
