Choosing Longevity with Overlapping Generations: To Be or Not to Be in Diamond's Model
The B.E. Journal of Macroeconomics, 2008We extend Diamond's (1965) OLG model to allow agents to choose whether to participate in the second period of life. The valuation of early exit (x) is a key parameter. We characterize competitive equilibria, efficient allocations, and predictions for income and life expectancy over time. We find that, with logarithmic utility, for any value of x, there

Hubbard model on the infinite-dimensional diamond lattice
Physical Review B, 1993We present and study the infinite-dimensional limit of the Hubbard model on a class of nonnested bipartite lattices which generalize the two-dimensional honeycomb and three-dimensional diamond lattice, and are characterized by a semimetallic noninteracting density of states.

A modeling of diamond film growth
Journal of Applied Physics, 1988The growth of diamond films from mixtures of methane and hydrogen has been investigated by mathematical modeling. The gas-phase reactions of H radicals with methane are treated by solving the rate equations, while the surface reactions are studied by Monte Carlo simulation.

Theoretical modelling of dopants in diamond
Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2006One of the hurdles to the use of diamond as an electronic material is the lack of shallow dopants. In this paper, the theoretical modelling of dopants in diamond is reviewed, including some of the more promising suggestions for shallow donors. Nitrogen, phosphorus, sulphur and boron are now quite reliably modelled using density functional theory.

A digital simulation model of a freeway diamond interchange
Communications of the ACM, 1966Abstract : The Vehicular Traffic Study Project has developed a digital computer simulation model of a portion of a freeway diamond interchange. The total model will be designed for conducting research promoting the improvement of the geometric designs of freeway interchanges and for the development of effective control devices regulating traffic flow ...
