A valuation model for cut diamonds
International Transactions in Operational Research, 2005AbstractCut diamonds are hard to value given the number and type of properties used in price construction. This project aims to develop a valuation model for cut diamonds based on data published on the Internet. Regression trees (Classification and Regression Trees and Chi‐Square Automatic Interaction Detection) and neural networks (using ...

A modelling of diamond nucleation
Diamond and Related Materials, 1995Abstract Recently we proposed a model for diamond nucleation by means of the substrate bias pretreatment method. In order to verify the effectiveness of this model, the nucleation process was directly observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Computer model of tetrahedral amorphous diamond
Physical Review B, 1995We computer generate a model of amorphous diamond using the Wooten-Weaire method, with fourfold coordination everywhere. We investigate two models: one where four-membered rings are allowed and the other where the four-membered rings are forbidden; each model consisting of 4096 atoms.

Modeling Diamond Blackfan Anemia in the Zebrafish
Seminars in Hematology, 2011Diamond Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare congenital anemia, with more than 50% of patients having mutations in a ribosomal protein. Evidence suggests that both translation and p53 activation play roles in mediating the hematopoietic phenotype. The reason for erythroid specificity of DBA is unclear.
