Feasibility and safety of orbital atherectomy in uncrossable lesions

open access: yesREC: Interventional Cardiology (English Ed.)
To the Editor, Orbital atherectomy (OA) is a technique designed to treat non-dilatable calcified lesions in coronary arteries using the Diamondback 360 device (Abbott, United States), which consists of a 1.25 mm diamond-coated crown that enables ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 48, 15 June 2026.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Evolution and Conceptual Insights into the Geometric Phase of Light: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
This review presents a unified account of the geometric phase of light, linking its fundamental principles to diverse manifestations in polarization, spatial, and vector modes. By connecting theoretical frameworks with key experimental realizations, it reveals a coherent physical picture that deepens understanding and stimulates new directions in ...

Extracellular Vesicle‐Transferred ATP‐Citrate Lyase Induces Monocyte Differentiation Toward Tumor‐Associated Macrophages and Fuels Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 35, 24 June 2026.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) enrich the metabolic enzyme ATP‐citrate lyase (ACLY). EV‐transferred ACLY enhances palmitate biosynthesis, increases the S‐palmitoylation and stability of multiple immune checkpoint proteins, augments the cellular immunosuppressive activity, and ultimately accelerates the malignant ...

Paving the way: A national approach to Diamond OA

open access: yesSeptentrio Conference Series
Diamond Open Access (Diamond OA), in which no fees are charged to authors or readers, is currently in the spotlight. For two years, in a row the theme of International Open Access Week, has been “Community over Commercialization” and this year marks the Second Global Summit on Diamond Open Access among many other events.

Endogenously generated Dutch‐type Aβ non‐fibrillar aggregates dysregulate presynaptic neurotransmission in the absence of detectable inflammation

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND APPE693Q (“Dutch”) transgenic mice develop aging‐related learning deficits and accumulate endogenously generated non‐fibrillar aggregates (NFAs) of amyloid beta (Aβ) and amyloid precursor protein α‐carboxy terminal fragments. NFA‐Aβ correlates with synaptic loss and memory deficits more closely than does fibrillar Aβ.
