A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

On the convolution product of the distributional families related to the diamond operator

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2002
In this paper, we introduce a distributional family K_{α,β} which is related to the Diamond operator ♦^k iterated k-times. At first we study the properties of K_{α,β} and then we give a sense to the convolution product of K_{α,β}∗ K_{α',β'} .

A comparison of retention rates of brackets with thermally-cured and light-cured custom bases in indirect bonding procedures

open access: yesAustralasian Orthodontic Journal, 2000
This study compared the retention rates of thermally-cured (TC) and light-cured (LC) custom bases attached to metal mini-diamond brackets and clear Spirit MB brackets, when used in indirect bonding procedures.

Influence of Scan Strategies in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion on Solidification, Microstructure, and High‐Temperature Compressive Properties of γ′‐Strengthened Inconel 738LC

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...

Application of a Fractional Generalized Discrete Grey Model to Forecast COVID-19 in Japan Diamond Princess Cruises

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
Based on the perspective of local government, this paper develops a new type of fractional-order generalized discrete grey prediction model, abbreviated as FNGDGM (1,1) model to study the COVID-19 in Japan Diamond Princess Cruises.

Modeling LTE-advanced cell capacity estimation using packet bundling and carrier aggregation [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ Computer Science
The increasing demand for mobile usage raises many challenges for service providers. Satisfying subscribers by providing a better quality of service (QoS) is one of the major concerns of an operator. One way to solve this problem is to adopt an efficient

Low temperature growth of ultrananocrystalline diamond film and its field emission properties

open access: yes, 2009
Ultrananocrystalline diamond (UNCD) film is deposited at a substrate temperature lower than 500 °C. This film possesses diamond crystal of nanometer size embedded in a graphitic (or non-diamond carbon) phase.

Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.
