Epitope mapping of anti‐amelogenin IgG in untreated celiac children

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, Volume 129, Issue 2, April 2021., 2021
Abstract Children with untreated celiac disease (CeD) may develop enamel defects, and children with severe CeD have significantly increased levels of IgG to amelogenin, which may interfere with normal amelogenesis depending on which epitope(s) they bind.

Effect of different limb lengths on quality of life, eating patterns and gastrointestinal symptoms after Roux‐en‐Y gastric bypass in superobese patients: randomized study

open access: yesBJS Open, Volume 4, Issue 6, Page 1109-1116, December 2020., 2020
Lengthening the biliopancreatic limb in gastric bypass surgery gives enhanced weight loss without compromising patient‐assessed quality of life. Small differences in long‐term outcome Background Distal Roux‐en‐Y gastrojejunal bypass (DRYGJB) gives better weight reduction than standard Roux‐en‐Y gastric bypass (RYGB) but at the risk of increased ...

Cellular Barriers after Extravasation: Leukocyte Interactions with Polarized Epithelia in the Inflamed Tissue

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
During the inflammatory response, immune cells egress from the circulation and follow a chemotactic and haptotactic gradient within the tissue, interacting with matrix components in the stroma and with parenchymal cells, which guide them towards the sites of inflammation. Polarized epithelial cells compartmentalize tissue cavities and are often exposed
