Characterization of Enterotoxigenic and Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli in Paediatric Patients
In developing countries diarrheal illness are causing severe health problem in children up to five years of age group and it also results in causing the morbidity and mortality. Worldwide among all the bacterial pathogens diarrheagenic Escherichia coli

ABSTRACT Over the years, numerous D‐ and z‐values have been published in the scientific literature. While these values initially appear to be valid criteria for assessing and comparing the heat resistance of different microorganisms under the same conditions or the same microorganism under different conditions, this is not always the case.

Stewardship of Molecular Diagnostics in Transplant Viral Infections
ABSTRACT The transplant environment requires special considerations when testing for viral infections as immunosuppression results in atypical infection profiles. Microbes otherwise considered commensals or causing mild disease can lead to severe infections in transplant environments. Therefore, guidelines tend to recommend broader microbial testing in

Staphylococcus aureus is a leading cause of foodborne diarrhea, primarily due to staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs). This study employed whole‐genome sequencing to characterize 106 S. aureus isolates from diarrheal patients in East China (2019–2024). We identified 23 sequence types, with ST398 (22.6%) and ST5 (7.5%) among the most prevalent.

Phenotypic and Genotypic Antibiotic Resistant diarrheagenic Escherichia coli pathotypes isolated from Children with Diarrhea in Nairobi City, Kenya [PDF]
BACKGROUND፡ The marked genome plasticity of diarrheagenic Escherichia coli promotes emergence of pathotypes displaying unique phenotypic and genotypic resistance. This study examined phenotypic and genotypic antibiotic resistant diarrheagenic Escherichia

The high mortality and morbidity resulting from diarrhoeal cases worldwide are associated with the increasing incidence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and represent a serious public health concern. Cattle are a major reservoir of AMR organisms, and faecal shedding may facilitate their transmission into the food chain.
